TRUST MANAGEMENT
More details about this research
Digitalization is leading us towards a future where people, systems and things are not only interacting with each other, but might start forming societies on their own. In these dynamic systems enhanced by artificial intelligence, trust management on the level of human-to-machine as well as machine-to-machine interaction becomes an essential ingredient to supervise safe and secure progress of our digitalized future. The main goal is to build Trust within Smart Dynamic Ecosystems.

Software resilience and reliability are important properties of software systems. We deal with modelling such properties, predicting software failures and in general helping in building more reliable software systems. We deal also with Antifragility, which is an evolutionary understanding of resilience, has become a predominant concept in academic and industrial fields as the criticality of vital infrastructures (like healthcare and transportation) has become more flexible and varying due the impact of digitization and adverse circumstances, such as changing the prioritization of industrial services. Within this project, we aim at analyzing the fragilities of software systems and develop models for improving the protection of critical infrastructures.

This research focuses on designing and developing systems for interactive data analysis. These systems are tailored to diverse application domains, such as cyber security or forensic anthropology. We combine data and process modeling methods with information visualization and visual analytics techniques to create software applications that place domain experts at the center of the interactive analytical loop.
