Smart Infrastructures
Smart Infrastructures Group conducts multidisciplinary research, which takes into account not only the technical but also the legal, organizational or social view. Critical information infrastructures are the general ingredients cyber environment, which also includes information (IT) infrastructure, electricity networks and systems. From the point of view of technical implementation, complex cyberphysical systems built on hardware computing and communication components with increasingly sophisticated software equipment on which safe and reliable operation is built. Therefore, in addition to high-quality, documented and process-based implementation and reliable operation, Attention is increasingly focused on approaches focusing also on the early stages of development (analysis and design) of software components, mainly using advanced techniques of requirements analysis and verification of their fulfillment in the form of simulation analyzes and formal methods.
The team involved in this program in the past has rich experience in developing innovative techniques for predictive analysis, simulation, optimization and formal verification of large systems of smart energy networks. Members of the team contributed to the implementation of a number of commercially applicable simulations.
The research team also carries out long-term research excellence in the field of technology law, mainly focusing on cyber security, energy, critical infrastructure, privacy and other relevant areas. The outcomes of this research are not only practicable and, in specific cases, applied not only at the level of specific institutions, but also at national and international level.
The research team focuses primarily on basic and applied research and produces original know-how reflecting on expert knowledge, into software products. The results can not be protected in the European context by patents. Nevertheless, the team was able to successfully commercialize the results in the form of consulting contracts and works contracts, especially in the field of critical infrastructure in power engineering for various entities in the Czech Republic (electricity distributors and their associations) in 2015, 2016 and continuing until 2019.
Projects
Processing project preparatory searches AMM for CEZ Distribution (07/2015-12 /2015)
The aim of the project was to provide comprehensive documentation retrieval contracting authority for the type of operation, technology and safety systems AMM, as well as related protocols, standards, relevant legal framework and others. The conclusions of the sub-areas included recommendations for further action. The output of the project was the overall conclusions and recommendations developed by Masaryk University in cooperation with the ČVUT in Prague within the framework of the Czech Academic Expert Group during the second half of 2015. Its aim was to respond to the use of available sources, outputs of previous customer projects and own know-how vendor questions defined in the search query.
Study for the secure delivery of data from the meter to the customer at the point of consumption for ČSRES (06/2016-12/2016)
The aim of the study was an analysis of the home automation market, price analysis recommended solutions, review basic safety parameters and identifying the necessary operational support and potential impacts within current connection conditions.
Analysis, solution design simulations in the laboratory for AMM/SG technology installed in the distribution system for ČEZ Distribution (12/2016-03/2018)
The aim of the project is the design of the hardware and communications architecture, design simulation and design of proof of concept in the final version.
Draft optimum strategy for resolving its own communications infrastructure company ČEZ Distribution (12/2016-12/2018)
The aim of the project is to find the optimal strategy for the development of communication networks DSO in the long term with regard to the expected capacity to build their own communication networks, radio networks, communication options PLC or BPL on HV and NN. The strategy will also include the use of mobile operator services.
National Action Plan for Smart Grid - External support for the Task Force P13 telecommunications network for Arthur D. Little (06/2017-09/2017)
The project aims to create a search experience with similar projects abroad SG and analysis requirements for integration into the IT telecommunications network infrastructure.
